Lay out receipt photos on A4 for printing

Lay out photos of your receipts on A4 sheets, add notes, and print (this is not a paper sheet for gluing receipts on). You can fix the rotation and order, and type a note (date, payee, amount and so on) under each photo. You can also keep the sheets as a PDF from your browser's print dialog. Your photos and notes never leave your browser.

Made for people who want to lay out photos of receipts neatly on paper or in a PDF. Whether the result is accepted for expense claims or record keeping depends on the rules that apply to you; see “Before you use it” below.

or drop them here

You can choose many photos at once (up to 60). They are processed on this device only.

How to use

  1. Choose your receipt photos. You can also drop them onto the page.
  2. Choose how many photos go on a sheet, the paper orientation and the margin, then fix the rotation, order and note for each photo. Check the result under “Sheet preview”.
  3. Press “Print”. To keep a PDF, set the destination to “Save as PDF” in your browser's print dialog.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos or notes uploaded anywhere?
No. Loading, shrinking and laying out the photos all happen in your browser. The notes and title you type are used only for printing (and for saving images); they are not sent anywhere and are not stored. They are gone when you close the page. The page only sends anonymous counts: that a page was opened, and that an action such as "the print dialog was opened" happened. See the Privacy Policy.
Is this a sheet for gluing paper receipts onto?
No. It is not a sheet you glue paper receipts onto. It lays out photos of receipts on A4 paper for printing, so you can keep them together on one page.
How do I make a PDF?
Press “Print”, then set the destination (printer) to “Save as PDF” in your browser's print dialog. Set the paper to A4, the margins to “None” and the scale to 100%. If you chose landscape paper, set the orientation to landscape in the print dialog as well (some browsers do not change it automatically).
Does a sheet made here meet tax or bookkeeping rules?
We do not guarantee that a sheet made with this tool meets the requirements of any tax or bookkeeping rules (for example, Japan's Denshi Chobo Hozon Ho (電子帳簿保存法) or the “invoice system” (インボイス制度)). Ask a tax accountant or your tax office how to keep your records. All this tool does is lay photos out on paper. It cannot tell you whether you may throw away the original paper receipts either.
Does it add up the amounts?
No. An amount in a note is just text shown under the photo. A mistake in a total would be a mistake in money, so this tool does not calculate totals.
How many photos can I lay out?
Up to 60 photos at a time, each up to 40 MB. Photos are shrunk so that the long edge is 1,800 px before they are laid out (smaller photos are left as they are). Photos with more than 100 megapixels cannot be used. If you have more photos, print them in several batches.
Which photo formats can I use?
Images your browser can open (JPEG, PNG, WebP and so on). HEIC photos from an iPhone may not open in browsers other than Safari, so convert them to JPEG first. On an iPhone, Settings → Camera → Formats → “Most Compatible” makes the camera save JPEG. Receipts in PDF form cannot be used.
A photo comes out sideways or upside down.
Photos are laid out following the orientation recorded in them (Exif). If a photo is still the wrong way round, use “Rotate right” on that photo to turn it 90 degrees at a time.
What is “Save images (PNG) as a zip”?
It turns each sheet into a PNG image (A4 at 200 DPI, 1654×2339 px) and saves them together as a zip. Use it when you want the sheets as images without going through the print dialog. Notes are drawn with your device's font, so line breaks may differ slightly from the screen and from print.
Does it cost anything?
It is free, and there is no sign-up.
